Vacancy for a Clerk &
Responsible Financial Officer Home-based, part time up to 6 hours / week We are looking to appoint a Clerk/RFO to carry out administrative duties as required by law and be responsible for the financial records of the Council as required under the Accounts and Audit Regulations. The successful applicant will assist the parish councillors with the administration of the Parish Council. This will include attending at least 6 evening meetings per year, the taking and producing minutes of meetings, maintaining financial accounts, maintaining parish records, website and dealing with correspondence. You will also be working alongside our Community Coordinator, assisting to manage, accounts, risk assessments and events. It is essential that the applicant has excellent administrative, IT and communications skills. Knowledge of local government is desirable, but not essential, as training can be provided. Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage but is not essential. Meetings are held a minimum of 6 times a year in Brightwalton Village Hall. The role requires an average 6 hours a week, working hours are flexible, from home and you are responsible for managing your own time. Salary pay scale is based on Local Government LC1 (7-17). The appropriate scale point will depend on qualifications and experience.
